School Bus Terms & Conditions
Pulham & Sons (Coaches) Ltd. Terms & Conditions for Home to School Transport (February 2017)
Pulhams Coaches must be certain that there are spare spaces before we can make an offer of Non-entitled School Transport. Unfortunately, this means that in some circumstances we will need to wait until we are certain of the numbers of entitled pupils who will be travelling before making an offer. We work in partnership with the local authorities to ensure this process is efficient. In the interests of safety, no pupil should attempt to travel on a vehicle unless they have a valid bus pass.
I wish to purchase a bus pass for non-entitled school transport. I understand that the offer of transport is dependent on availability and is not guaranteed by making an application or payment. The payment of the initial instalment does not guarantee a space on our vehicle and can be refunded in the event that no spaces are available or you no longer require it due to exam results or non-acceptance at your chosen educational establishment. Pulhams Coaches will contact you as soon as it becomes evident that no spaces are available on the bus.
In selecting a payment option, I understand that I am agreeing to pay by the agreed instalments. Failure to do so will result in withdrawal of transport. We accept payment by BACS or Debit Card (Credit Card incurs 3% surcharge capped at £15.00) and we no longer accept cheques. If selecting to pay by 6 instalments, payments must be made by Direct Debit. We will not accept BACS, Debit Card or Standing Orders for this option. Please note we will require the original Direct Debit mandate (to be provided to you after an application is made) copies will not be accepted and the mandate must be returned prior to the issuing of a bus pass. If choosing to pay by 6 instalments for a midyear application all monies due must be paid in advance by BACS prior to the Direct Debit start date. If paying by 2 instalments, please note that if your second instalment is made later than the specified date in February you will incur a late charge of £10.00.
I accept that I am obliged to pay for the whole years travel even if my child does not use the bus regularly or ceases to use the bus at any time during the academic year.
I confirm that I will ensure my child will carry a valid bus pass when intending to travel on the bus. I accept that if my child is unable to produce a valid pass that the driver will have the right to refuse travel. I understand that route numbers and timetables are subject to change and that allocation is based on boarding point not route number. I confirm that I have read and understood the pupil code of conduct and I have explained the code of conduct to my child ensuring their understanding.
